MARY E. PACKARD
She was a stout gunwale-built, cross-planked scow schooner built in 1875. The MARY E. PACKARD traded in lumber, cord wood and tanbark, coming into Milwaukee
occasionally in the 1880s and '90s. She capsized off Frankford, Mich., in 1908. The owner of the schooner entered the Christmas tree trade in 1912 as captain of the ROUSE SIMMONS.
