MILWAUKEE NO. 95

Three miles off Milwaukee in the early 1930s was a speck of blinking light that few people knew came from a lightship called MILWAUKEE. The ship’s crow’s nest on top of the mast encircled the lantern that created the light to warn vessels of their proximity to Milwaukee’s harbor. She was decommissioned in 1965.
